An 8-inch (20.3cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve coloured printed paper gores and two polar calottes, the equator graduated in degrees and hours, the ecliptic graduated in days, the oceans showing ocean currents, labelled near the Antarctic C. SMITH & SON, the continents with nation states delicately shaded in green and yellow and showing rivers, cities and towns (numerous old surface abrasions, discolouration and repaired cracks) with brass finial and short brass support set in a turned fruitdood column and plinth base -- 14in. (35.5cm.) high
