signed Lincoln Rex Mathias 1611 A.D. around the Arctic circle, the equatorial and ecliptic each labelled with sixty Roman letters of the alphabet for divisions of hours and minutes, with pictorial representations of the constellations named in Latin, the meridian circle with handle-shaped finial and showing graduations in degrees and thrity-six letters of the alphabet, further showing the names for various constellations, the horizon ring similarly labelled, likewise the four quadrant supports to turned central column and folding tripod stand -- 19in.
