Serial No. 72646, in a cherry red finish, mahogany body with double cutaways, mahogany neck, twenty-two fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, headstock face with Les Paul JUNIOR lettering, single P-90 pickup, two rotary controls, combination bridge/stud metal tailpiece and black pickguard; and a black softshell contour case with Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label '62 Gibson S.G. Les Paul Jnr. 2646 and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed
The SG Les Paul Junior was introduced in 1961.
Eric Clapton acquired this guitar for collecting purposes and has played it now and then.
