A LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD, KINGWOOD AND MARQUETRY BUREAU DE DAME
The rectangular top and shaped fall-front inlaid with foliate branches within a C-scrolled cartouche, enclosing a fitted interior with a gilt-tooled black leather-lined writing-surface, four drawers, one of them fitted with dividers for an inkwell and now with an associated sand container, an empty compartment and a third compartment hidden by a slide, the frieze fitted with two small drawers inlaid sans traverse with a further shaped cartouche, the shaped sides conformingly inlaid and the back veneered with plain cartouches, on cabriole legs terminating in upswept foliate sabots, the underside stamped twice probably falsely 'LACROIX' and 'JME', reveneered
