Lot Essay

A similar Qianlong porcelain vase dated 1736-95, with French mounts of circa 1860 is in the Wallace Collection, London, and is listed in an inventory of 1898 as being in the Billiard Room of Hertford House (P. Hughes, The Wallace Collection - Catalogue of Furniture, London, 1996, p. 1416, fig. 296 [F114]).
