The base of drop form with plain copper body terminating in a lower knop, the shoulder covered with a silver panel worked in repouss with a band of bird combat roundels alternating with elegant floral sprays, further birds in the spandrels, all on a blue enamel ground, a band of inscription cartouches and meandering floral designs above, extruded at one point for the outlet pipe socket, a cusped panel descending over the body below that similarly worked with a portrait roundel on scrolling flowering vine ground, the bowl similarly worked with an arcade of engraved floral sprays on a blue enamel ground, supported on a carved wooden stem, associated silver chains, perspex block mount and elongation to shaft

The inscription cartouches around the shoulder contain Persian verses in praise of silver qalian pipes.
