A Pair of Porcelain Bowls and A Porcelain Footed Dish
Arita Ware, Kakiemon Style, Edo Period (Circa 1700)
The bowls moulded in ten petal lobes and in low relief with blossoms and scrolling foliage on opposite interior walls and in the well, also decorated in polychrome enamels over transparent glaze with a bird on a fence, plum and a chrysanthemum spray, the exterior lobes undecorated, one spur mark on each base; the dish petal-form set on three feet modelled as the heads of Chinese lions and painted in polychrome enamels over clear glaze with a bird, bamboo, plum and rocks, extensively restored, one spur mark on base
