FLOWN Dime from Liberty Bell-7. A 1961 D Roosevelt 10 cent U.S. coin with a sterling silver bezel that can be linked to a sterling silver disk engraved with: "Liberty Bell 7" and "21 July 1961" on the reverse side. Gus Grissom carried this dime in his spacesuit during the second U.S. manned space flight. The Liberty Bell-7 sank just after splashdown due to a malfunction of the explosive exit hatch with Grissom narrowly avoiding drowning. [With:] Typed letter signed by Mrs. Betty Grissom. (2)
