The case with brass handle to the moulded breakarch top, arched fishscale sound frets to the sides and on brass bracket feet, the silvered dial with strike/silent ring to the arch and gilt-brass foliate spandrels to the narrow silvered Roman chapter ring with crossed minute track and outside Arabic five minutes, the silvered centre with conforming seconds ring, cut steel hands, the twin gut fusee movement with altered verge escapement, pull trip repeat, with foliate engraved backplate -- 15in. (40cm.) high
