The case with hinged and silk-backed repouss lifting brass top with carrying handle, flambeau urn finials to the corners, further foliate cast handles to the sides above cherub and foliate sound frets, the moulded base on scroll feet, the brass dial with chime/silent and Cambridge/Eight bells rings to the arch, foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, the triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells and hour striking on gong, with pendulum holdfast to the engraved backplate -- 24in. (61cm.) high; and an associated ebonised bracket with brass mask mounts -- 18in. (48cm.) high (2)
