A MEISSEN BAMBERG PATTERN PLATE
Circa 1730, blue crossed sword mark and K for Kretzschmar
Painted in underglaze-blue, iron-red, green, yellow and gilt with a butterfly above stylized flowering branches within two concentric circles, the border with flowerheads and meandering leaves, 9.3/8in. (23.8cm.) diameter; together with a Meissen Tischchenmuster pattern coffee-cup and a saucer painted in a similar palette
