A MEISSEN HERBSGREN-GROUND LARGE ECUELLE, COVER AND STAND
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark to the ecuelle and stand
Of circular form with pierced lapet-shaped handles, the domed cover with gilt berried finial painted in purpurmalerei with shaped panels of European landscapes and harbor scenes reserved on the yellowish-green ground, gilt line rims; the stand similarly painted with Indiansche Blumen reserved within a scalloped panel and with similar shaped landscape and harbor scenes, the underside with scattered flower sprays
