Circa 1740, blue crossed swords and Pressnummer 580 to the cup, gilder's 7. to the cover
The stepped domed cover with gilt griffin finial, the vase with flaring cylindrical neck and octagonal lower portion, the neck painted with two European harbor scenes reserved on the purple ground within gilt angular quatrefoil cartouches edged in chocolate, the cover similarly painted but with no edging along the gilt bands, the panels of the lower-portion painted alternately in purple and iron-red monochrome with ogival panels of harbor scenes reserved on the gold ground
