The case with ripple moulding to the glazed top surmounted by an octagonal section gilt-metal handle, repeat button set into the right side glass, the plain base on brass block feet, the dial signed Dent 82 Strand London on the white enamel Roman chapter disc with blued moon hands, foliate pierced and engraved gilt mask laid on a silvered ground, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with maintaining power, large gilt escapement platform with cut bimetallic balance to underslung lever, strike and repeat on a gong, the backplate signed Dent, London No. 477, strike/silent lever to the top left corner
