The case intricately engraved all over with flower heads and foliage on a hatched ground, hinged ring handle to the top, the base with swivel stand, the back with strut stand and signed Thos. Cole for Barry, London, No. 980, the silvered dial similarly engraved and centered with a basket of fruit, Roman chapter ring with blued fleur de lys hands, signed Barry London beneath VI, the gilt going barrel movement with plain steel balance to lever escapement signed Thos Cole London on the backplate
