Temporary Captain Lawrence Llewellyn Rennie, a Civil Engineer from Bloemfontein, was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in May 1941 and served in 47th Railway Survey Company and 39th Railway Construction Company, S.A.E.C. Mentioned in Despatches in December 1944 and advanced to Temporary Captain in June 1945, Rennie was discharged at the end of the year.
