INCISED WANLI EIGHT-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

Decorated to the interior of the tray with a pair of sinuous ascending dragons supporting a shou medallion and confronting a flaming pearl above a large peony issuing from a rock among turbulent waves, all against a diaper ground, the sides of the tray with scrolling lotus on the interior and a composite floral meander on the exterior (minor restoration)
