A 3in. scale gas fired model of the Suffolk Dredging Tractor No.589,
with brass bound, metal clad, welded steel boiler with fittings including water gauge with shut-off valves, pressure gauge, safety, blower and blowdown valves. Engine details include twin cylinders 1in. bore x 2in. stroke, Stephenson's link reverse, displacement lubricators, disc crank driven feed pump and by-pass, disc flywheel and gear drive with single speed to rear axle and winch drum and cable. Chassis details include Ackerman steering, leaf springs, water tank and hand feed pump, pierced disc wheels, the rear with strakes, driver's seat and foot rests, coal bunker and other details, finished in red and black -- 27 x 42in. (69.2 x 106.7cm.)
