The case with stepped top with foliate mount to the entablature, supported on four milled ormolu columns, on stepped base with bun feet, with ormolu bezel to the engine-turned silvered Roman dial signed Mathey a Strasbourg (retouched), steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with gridiron pendulum and countwheel strike on bell -- 19in. (50cm.) high
