A FRENCH ORMOLU-MOUNTED WHITE MARBLE STRIKING MANTEL CLOCK

The circular white enamelled dial with Roman hour and Arabic quarter hour chapters, gilt brass arrow hands, the twin-barrel movement with sun pendulum and hour and half-hour strike on a bell via countwheel, the circular drum-form case decorated with tasseled swags, surmounted by an urn with a pinecone finial and flanked by laurel-tied lyres, supported on fluted columns applied with garlands and rosettes, all raised on a stepped rectangular plinth and circular feet, 17 in. (43.2 cm.) high
