A BELGIUM FOUR-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE
MAKER'S MARK OF JOSSE ALLURD, BRUSSELS, CIRCA 1850
Comprising a coffee pot, teapot, two-handled covered sugar bowl and cream jug, each lobed compressed globular body richly chased with floral and foliate scrolls, supported on spreading circular base embossed with armorials, the pots and sugar bowl with decorated scroll handles surmounted by seated cherubs, the domed covers similarly decorated below fruit cluster finials, the milk jar and sugar bowl with gilt interiors, the coffee pot 10 1/2 in. (26.5 cm.) high, gross weight 2,296 gms.
The coat-of-arms are those of Counts de Pinto and of Simonis of Belgium
