[DICKENS, CHARLES]. BROWNE, HABLOT K. ("Phiz"), artist. Three original steel plates for three etchings drawn and executed by Browne for the first edition of Dombey and Son (London 1846-48), bevelled edges, the engraved sides highly polished, very minor surface wear, each plate contained in a removable felt frame within a gilt-lettered folding case (all broken), each with Chapman & Hall's typed signed certificate of authenticity and an impression of the plate loosely inserted.
