The deep, round bowl rising from a high ring foot with deep, recessed base to gently curving walls, inlaid on the exterior in white slip with a wide band of 'rope curtain' and two rectangular reserves of character inscriptions on opposite sides, all between narrower bands of grasses and lappets and lines; the interior also inlaid in white slip with bands of 'rope curtain' radiating from a central chrysanthemum floret and with an additional lappet and grass band, covered overall with a green-tinged clear glaze with high gloss-- 7 1/4 in.
