A PUNCH'ONG INLAID WINE BOTTLE
CHOSON DYNASTY (15TH CENTURY)
Of pear form with short, cylindrical neck, rolled lip and short ring foot encircling a slightly recessed base, inlaid in white and black slip with a wide frieze of three pairs of conjoined willow trees interspersed with further geometric willow patterns, all above a double white line, the base of the neck girdled by a band of petal lappets between double lines, covered overall in a pale green celadon glaze with dense crackle- 6 1/8 in. (15.5 cm.) high
