A FINE MUGHAL-STYLE JADE CENSER AND COVER

The oval censer with thinly carved sides and a flat reticulated rim, delicately carved in low relief with a lotus scroll, embellished at the sides with lotus sprig-handles suspending loose rings, supported on four cloud-shaped feet, the domed cover is intricately pierced with a lotus meander and surmounted with a hollow six-petalled flower-head, the highly polished stone of characteristic translucent pale colour with few natural inclusions and streaks (minute nicks)
