The Countess of Wicklow was born in 1878 as Lady Beatrix Frances Gertrude Herbert, the eldest daughter of Sidney Herbert, the 14th Earl of Pembroke and 11th Earl of Montgomery. She was married in 1903 to Major Sir Neville Rodwell Wilkinson, K.C.V.O., Ulster King of Arms, late Coldstream Guards and soon after his death in 1940, to Ralph Francis Howard, 7th Earl of Wicklow. The Countess died in 1957, having been 'three times a Lady!'.
