Lady Marie Enid Burnham, [C.B.E.], was born the daughter of Hugh Scott Robson and educated at Heathfield School, Ascot. She was married in 1920 to Edward Frederick Lawson, later Major-General and 4th Baron Burnham. A President of the Buckinghamshire Red Cross between 1936-64 and the Girl Guides Association for England between 1961-71, she was awarded the C.B.E. in 1957 and died in 1979.
