Warrant Officer Class II Lebe Wolff Blumenfeld, a Hebrew, was born in July 1910 and attested for the Union Defence Force at Pietermaritzburg in April 1940. Advanced to Warrant Officer Class II in September 1942, he was posted to the H.Q. of the 6th S.A. Armoured Division in February 1943, and subsequently served in both the African and Italian Theatres of War. Blumenfeld was discharged in October 1945.
