An oak chest, probably West Country, mid 17th century
With a moulded twin-plank lid and sides extending to feet, the front profusely carved with foliate filled lunettes and a pair of rosette filled lozenges, with scroll spandrels below

This plank chest is ingeniously constructed so as to appear of panelled construction
