The settee early 20th century, the needlework first half 18th Century
The padded rectangular back, outscrolled arms, and seat cushion covered with gros and petit point needlework with matching tassled trim, the seatback and seat cushion each centered by a large scrolled cartouche, the back containing a scene of revelry in a clearing, the seat with four fantastic birds and animals around a tree, on tapering faceted legs with knop tops and bun feet, joined by three scrolled X-stretchers
