A St. Petersburg blue-ground teacup and saucer and a Meissen (Marcolini) cover
Circa 1780, blue monogram mark of Catherine II
The cup with a ship before a tower on a rocky promontary within an oval gilt cartouche, the saucer with a tent on a wooded river island, the borders with gilt bands and blue angular intertwined ribbon ornament, the cover with a figure crossing a bridge within an oval gilt cartouche flanked by ribbon-tied flowers and with gilt flower finial (slight rubbing to gilding and enamels of saucer, chipping to rim of cover) (2)
