Each side painted red to brown on a cream ground, with a large fish in the handle zone between volluted ornaments, one fish with a stippled body, the other with arching bands filled with dots, volutes below each handle, horizontal bands above and below, rays on the lower body, bands below, restored from fragments, areas of fill, repainting along fractures, 12 1/4in. (31.1cm.) high
