The rectangular plain woven ground with applied hanging loops at each top corner and embellished below with the red and blue cross-stitched identification, "Elizabeth Damy My hand and Nwedle [sic]" above a horizontal register of red and blue cross-stitched stylized flowers and birds over a drawn-work panel above a central red and blue star flanked by peacocks and geometric forms over two drawn-work panels flanking the initials "C S," above three geometric stars punctuated by stylized peacocks over an open-work panel above an alphabetical register over the wrought inscription, "Christopher Damy Catherine Damy A D 1836" over a fringed base--57in. x 16½in.
