A GLAZED REDWARE MANTLE ORNAMENT
PENNSYLVANIA, INITIALED "M M" AND DATED 1798

In the form of a pelican pecking its breast, mounted on a molded plinth with incised line and punch decoration, glazed with red, yellow green and brown glaze, inscribed with glaze on the base "1798/M M" (with wear to glaze)--6½in.
