Persian manuscript on paper, four lines of elegant nasta'liq in clouds on gold ground, gold and polychrome illumiated triangular panels, one with colophon, Iran, 16th centuty, signed by Muhammad Husain, green border, gold sprinkled cream leaf - 20.8 x 11.4cm.; verso with a painting of two deer, after Mansour; two other calligraphic panels, similar, one signed by 'Abdi al-Nishapuri and dated AH 923/1517-18 AD, each with later Mugal-style miniatures on verso - 16 x 8.3cm. and 20.6 x 12.2cm.; and an illuminated manuscript leaf, lines of nasta'liq in four columns, with gold and polychrome illuminated heading panel above, Kashmir or North India, 18th/19th century, mounted - 30.3 x 19cm.
