The recumbent beast exquisitely carved with delicately incised curling fur and bushy tail, the two protruding eyes inset with jadeite and pearl seeds above the mouth agape exposing its tongue, looking over its shoulder to the lion cub clambering onto its haunch, whilst playing with a brocade ball in its front paws, the stone with characteristic pyrite inclusions
