The ruyi head is well carved with a bat in high relief, suspending from its mouth a musical stone embellished with wan hangings and a shou character, the scalloped rim with scrolling borders, the grip of the curved handle with a further shou character in a different script, framed by scrolls extending to the terminal of the handle decorated with a peach spray, the stone of an even white tone
