A REGENCY ROSEWOOD WORK-TABLE
Crossbanded overall in mahogany, the rectangular top with green leather writing-surface flanked by two smaller rectangular side sections above a mahogany-lined frieze drawer and a simulated frieze drawer to the reverse, flanked to each side by a small drawer, one fitted as an ink-drawer and conforming simulated drawers to the reverse, on solid vase-shaped end- supports with scrolled tops and decorated with foliate-trails, on turned scrolled legs joined by a shaped platform stretcher, brass castors, previously with a sliding well, lacking one star handle back plate, inscribed in pencil to the underside of one drawer 'Cap. a..tt..'
