A 20th-Century [?]silver armillary sphere,
unsigned, with plain silver earth-ball, Polar, Tropic and meridional circles, movable ecliptic, held in a brass meridian circle engraved with the N, W, E and S at the appropriate points, the brass horizon ring with stamped graduations in degrees and pictures for the houses of the Zodiac, on four curved quadrant supports held aloft by a kneeling and robed figure of Atlas on a stepped circular marble plinth base -- 18½in. (47cm.) high
