A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe, made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and meridian of Greenwich graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the oceans showing warm and cold ocean currents, submarine telegraph cables, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and journey time in days, shaded according to the volume of traffic along the route, and in the North Atlantic the route of the LZ 127 "Graf Zeppelin", the continents with nation states variously coloured according to national possession, showing railway and telegraph lines, caravan routes, towns, cities, rivers, mountains and the Great Wall of China, also with areas of production for corn, rice, wool, coal, cattle and pig-breeding and other exportable commodities, with a stamped aluminium meridian half-circle on a square-section oak column and stepped plinth base with inset compass and four square feet -- 25in. (63.5cm.) high
