A Pair of Meissen powdered-lilac-ground teacups and saucers
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks, painter's iron-red P.
Painted in the manner of J.G. Heintze with merchants in harbour scenes within black ogival and circular double red line cartouches and with trailing and scattered indianische Blumen, the interiors of the cups with puce camaieu harbour scenes (one handle restored, minute rim chip to underside rim of one saucer, slight rubbing to gilt rims) (2)
