"THE AUTOGRAPH REGAL" CRICKET BAT, made by Gunn and Moore Ltd of Nottingham, front face signed by both teams from the Oval Test Match, the 1924 Touring South African side, captained by Taylor and also the English side from the same match (signatures slightly smudged, in particular the ones of the South African sides).
The 1924 tour was not a success for South Africa. By the time the teams approached the last Test Match, England had established a dominant 3 - 0 winning lead in the series ensuring that this particular series was viewed as a disaster for South African cricket just as it was trying to establish itself on the world stage.
