The main panel with the "Wedding Procession of Peleus and Thetis," the bearded groom in a patterned chiton and a striped chlamys, driving his veiled bride in a four-horse chariot, the procession led by Apollo, who provides the music for the occasion on his lyre, the god clad in a patterned chiton and chlamys, a laurel wreath in his hair, the goddess Athena in the center, wearing a patterned himation, snaky aegis, and high-crested helmet, a spear in her hand, her head turned back to Hermes, the bearded god in winged boots, chiton, himation, and broad-brimmed petasos, the panel with a band of palmettes below and ivy on the sides; the shoulder with Herakles battling Kyknos, the hero clad in the lion-skin which is knotted around his neck, a sword in his hand, a quiver over his shoulder, Kyknos in a chiton and a high-crested Corinthian helmet, armed with a circular shield and a spear, a sheathed sword at his side, with Zeus in between intervening on behalf of Herakles, wearing a chiton and chlamys, his arms upraised, Herakles' patron Athena and Hermes to the left, the goddess in a peplos and high-crested helmet, a spear in her right hand, Hermes in chiton, chlamys and petasos, his caduceus resting on his left shoulder, Kyknos' father Ares to the right, clad in a chiton, armed with greaves and a high-crested Corinthian helmet, holding a circular shield and a spear, a sheathed sword at this side, to his right a draped woman looks on, and a seated youth with a staff faces right but looks left; with rays above the foot and alternating red and black tongues on the shoulders
