An Imperial Satsuma shallow tripod dish
with slightly inverted rim, painted and gilt to the centre with a dragon in flight above foaming waves, the underside with demi-kiku heads and scrolling foliage -- 9in. (23cm.) diam, signed and with blue mon, 19th Century, (crack to rim).
