A cream and decorated sofa, late 19th century
In the Adam style, with serpentine upholstered panel back surmounted by ribbon cresting (defective) and bordered with berried foliage and flowers, having outswept scroll arm supports, with upholstered sides and stuff-over slightly serpentine seat with decorated seat-rail, on turned tapering legs

Alice, Lady Wernher, subsequently Lady Ludlow (1862-1945), to their son
Sir Harold Wernher, 3rd Bt., G.C.V.O. (1893-1973), Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire, in the Chelsea Room, and by descent.
