A Swept-Hilt Rapier, And A Riding-Sword
Each in 17th Century style, with earlier blade
The first with tapering double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section with central fullers each stamped with an inscription, the iron hilt with downcurved rear quillon, arms, asymmetrical guard of three bars each side linked to the knuckle-guard, cylindrical faceted pommel, and wire-bound wooden grip; the second with tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section, iron hilt comprising down-turned quillons, asymmetrical oval side-rings, knuckle-guard, shaped flattened pommel, and wire-bound grip (some pitting to both swords)
