With browned twist barrels signed on the rib (dented), case-hardened patent breeches each with platinum line and plug, scroll engraved case-hardened tang, signed scroll engraved case-hardened locks (right hammer and both hammer retaining screws replaced), varnished finely figured walnut half-stock (some scratches), chequered grip, scroll engraved blued iron mounts, silver escutcheon, and brass-mounted ramrod, expertly refinished throughout during its working life (scattered areas of pitting, one trigger-guard screw missing), London proof marks
