The hinged cover of the well opening to reveal the porcelain ink well, the girl beside detaching to form a seal, cast with birds and foliage behind and with a pulley wheel and later chain above, the sepentine base with concealed drawer to the rear, on five toupie feet -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) high
