A 2in.:1ft scale model of a Shand Mason Horse Drawn Fire Appliance of circa 1900
with channel section chassis, leaf sprung axles with metal tyred wooden wheels with separate spokes and fellies and brass hub caps, turning lock and coal bunker. Engine details include brass clad brazed water tube copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, clack and blowdown valves, main stop and steam line to twin cylinder vertical engine direct coupled to a twin cylinder high pressure water pump via scotch cranks with twin spoked flywheels and eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, the pumps with inlet and outlet pipework, compression dome, change over cock and other details. Body details include driver's seat and footboard, hand operated brakes to rear wheels, bell, headlamp, footboards, tools, suction pipe with rose, water tank, firing irons and other details, finished in red, black and polished brightwork -- 14 x 21½in. (35.5 x 54.5cm.)
