Featherbanded overall, the rectangular top with overhanging concave- molded cornice over door with later arched mirror plate enclosing three movable shelves, above a purple velvet-lined slide, the slant front enclosing a green felt-lined writing surface, a well and a range of pigeonholes over a long central drawer and two short drawers, with a candle slide to each side, above a plain frieze on squared cabriole legs and squared pad feet, with the circular printed Untermyer Collection label numbered 243F, the escutcheon plates replaced and mid-eighteenth century, the mirror plate replaced
